Ogden After School Program
The After School Program is in session for the school year!
The After School Program is perfect for kids ages 6-13 who are interested in expanding into adventure sports and building a solid base of climbing skills. The main goals of the program are to have fun, learn about climbing and develop skills to become a better climber.
The Front offers ASP in six-week blocks – Each block is age-specific and meets once a week for six weeks. This arrangement allows children more time with peers closer to their own age and it allows The Front to tailor the instruction to the specific age group they are teaching. To further increase high-quality ASP programming, The Front limits the class size to keep groups small and increase the amount of time instructors can work with each student.
Our experienced staff will work with your child on developing skills such as technique, gear use, endurance, strength, teamwork, safety, responsibility, communication, trust and concentration. Everything is taught in a non-competitive atmosphere.
« 6-9 years old: Mondays and Thursdays
« 8-11 years old: Tuesdays and Fridays
« 10-13 years old: Wednesdays
« All sessions take place from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
« $110 per six-week block
« Cost includes all equipment rentals and instruction
We’ve outlined some of our precautionary measures below:
« Requiring masks when not climbing or exercising
« A dedicated “Sanitation Officer” that disinfects highly touched surfaces hourly
« Screening members for Covid-19 symptoms before entering the facility
« Screening staff for temperatures and Covid-19 symptoms before every shift
« Requiring social distancing guidelines to be followed when climbing or working out
« Hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility
« Requiring members to wash/sanitize hands before and after climbing
« A reservation system to ensure plenty of room to social distance

Additionally, we will be doing the following for ASP:
« Limiting group sizes
« Taking participants temperatures before the start of each session
« Structuring lesson plans to help reinforce social distancing
« Eliminating shared gear when possible
